Happy Birthday, Dean!

UNP CLaw provides for Abra Relief

Vigan City–Aiding the relief efforts of the university towards the primary victims of the earthquake, the Law Student Government initiated a donation drive for the purchase of relief goods.

Students, Teachers, and the Dean herself, Atty. Yaye Lares, of the Juris Doctor program shelled out personal financial aid towards the purchase of water, noodles, and soaps amounting to Php 11,122.00.

The effects of the earthquake in the people of Abra continues as aftershocks are still felt, as of posting. While numerous relief efforts are still on their way, the College of Law and the Law Student Government stands with the people of Abra in their effort to bring back their normal lives.

The turnover of the relief goods to the Student Council was supervised by the Asst. Dean Atty. Mirela Verzosa and CLaw Office Assistant Jennifer Ramos with Reymart Regua, LSG Governor-elect, and Bryan Irvine Lamarca, LSG Secretary-elect.

Reymart Regua extends his gratitude to all the donors of the said relief efforts: JD 1, JD 2, JD 3, Dean Atty. Yaye Lares, Asst. Dean Atty. Mirela Verzosa, and Atty. Meilyne Padua, Atty. Kristalyn Vega-Alves.

Last day for filing your application for the Law School Qualifying Test (LSQT) SY 2022-2023 is on August 10, 2022

The last day for filing your application for the Law School Qualifying Test (LSQT) SY 2022-2023 is on August 10, 2022.

Take note of the following important dates:

Administration of Test: August 13 and 14, 2022

Testing fee: Php 500.00

The following are the requirements for admission:

1. Must PASS the UNP Law School Qualifying Test (LSQT);

2. Graduate of any four-year course;

3. Original copy and two (2) photocopies of OTR (Official Transcript of Records);

4. Original copy and two (2) photocopies of PSA Birth Certificate;

5. Certificate of Good Moral Character from the school last attended or present employment; and

6. Three (3) copies of 2×2 and three (3) copies of 1×1 picture with red background.

Procedure:

1. Fill-up two (2) copies of Application Form (secure copy at UNP College of Law Dean’s Office);

2. Assessment of the required documents at the College of Law Dean’s Office;

3. Filing of Application to take UNP LSAT at UNP Admission Services;

4. Issuance of exam schedule by the Admission Services;

5. Panel interview; and

6. Enrolment.

LSG recognized at the 7th Gawad Floro S. Crisologo

The Law Student Government (LSG) made their presence felt in the 7th Gawad Floro S. Crisologo, held on July 6, 2022, at the UNP Tadena Hall. In honor of the University’s founder, this annual activity aims to recognize the efforts of student leaders and achievers in all facets of education.

Mr. Ignatius Tablada, LSG Governor, was awarded Floro S. Crisologo Outstanding Student Leader (Bronze).

Mr. Aaron Noel Taloza, LSG Senator, was also recognized for his exemplary contribution as Senate President for the Supreme Order of University Legislators (SOUL).

Further, the Student Council recognized all student organizations for their unfathomable service during the pandemic.

Atty. Lovely Ann Joy Lazo-Aniceto, an alumna of the UNP College of Law was the keynote speaker of this year’s Gawad Floro S. Crisologo. Her speech was truly bold and ingrained with style.
