Core Events

The following events shall form part of the LSG Core Events: [1]

  1. Pagpupugay – An annual event paying homage to our alumni who successfully passed the Bar Examinations. The event shall be spearheaded by the Juris Doctor 2 class and supervised by the Law Student Government Board.   
  2. Year-End Party – A breather and a thanksgiving event in celebration of the triumph of law students and faculty in overcoming the rigors and challenges brought about by current academic year. The event shall be spearheaded by the Juris Doctor 1 class and supervised by the Law Student Government Board.
  3. Graduating Students’ Send-Off Party – An annual tradition to pay tribute to the outgoing students, giving recognition to their tenure well spent in law school, and celebrating their achievements and contributions to the school community. This event serves as a mome bbbbbbbn,ntous farewell, fostering camaraderie among students, faculty, and staff as they bid farewell to the graduates. It shall be spearheaded by the Juris Doctor 3 class and supervised by the Law Student Government Board.
  4. Socialization and Awards Night – A night in which the law community gathers not only to pay tribute to the outgoing students but to also recognize the salient accomplishments and academic performances of law students as well as the contributions of outstanding alumni in their respective fields of practice. The event shall be spearheaded by the Juris Doctor 3 class and supervised by the Law Student Government Board.
  5. Law Week – A dedicated weeklong event of activities to celebrate the law. The event shall be spearheaded by the Law Student Government Board.
  6. Foundation Week – An annual event conducted during the month of March to commemorate the establishment of the College of Law. The event shall be spearheaded by the Law Student Government Board.
  7. General Assembly – The Board shall gather all the members of the Law Student Government to discuss its programs, projects, policies, and initiatives for the academic year. Pressing matters and issues shall also be discussed. 
  8. Freshman Day – Otherwise known as the Freshman Orientation, aims to guide and aid our freshmen in their journey towards the legal profession. The event shall be spearheaded by the College of Law and the Law Student Government Board.
  9. Kapihan/Kamustahan – A social gathering that aims to improve camaraderie amongst the students, wherein senior law students get to share to our freshmen  pieces of advice, hacks, pro tips, and best practices on how to survive in law school.
  10. Other Analogous Events – Events adapted by the College of Law or the Law Student Government Board that necessitates from the mandate/s of the College,  local council, Student Council, Legal Education Board, or the Supreme Court. 

The LSG Officers and Members shall be prohibited from soliciting from any person with respect to the conduct of abovementioned events. However, this does not bar them from accepting donations or gifts, if any.

The excess or savings generated from the collected funds shall form part of the revolving fund of the LSG.
